I had the opportunity to walk around the Etsy Made Local Market where more than 45 local craftivist sellers gather and showcase their unique handmade goods. It was held at Capitol Piazza.
There was a huge crowd around the booths even before I begin making my rounds.
Etsy.com is an online marketplace where designers and collectors made up the creative community. Buy, sell and look for vintage goods and unique wares.
We spotted some interesting crochet toys on this booth. Its so creative and quite amazing how people can churn this toys out from yarns i wonder?
These hand drawn, hand-made cards were so beautifully made, they have brought lots of attention to their booth too, I wish I can be so artistic and draw as well as them.
I’m loving these handmade jewelries and fashion accessories too. They look so beautiful and functional and suitable for any and every occasion.
If you like vintage pieces, these are retro looking and classic. Most of them are clip ons so you won’t have to worry if you don’t have ear holes.
Hand-made pouches looking so usable which makes practical gifts. Love them!
We dropped by Zoe’s booth to give her some love and support.
This inaugural event aims to give Singaporean a chance to discover some of the best of the city’s creative community, allowing them to connect with fellow craftivist and buy directly from them.
There was also a craft activity corner where shoppers can put together a community mural for children’s charity.
I was very happy to be able to play my part in this and make my small contribution to the mural. This is really not as easy to make as you think it is. It requires lots of concentration.
Showing off our completed pompoms! 😉 I had to redo mine once and almost lost this one during the re-do because I mixed up the grip.
Through this event, the organizers hope to build awareness for the handmade community in Singapore and provide a platform for local makers to showcase their brand and made in Singapore products.
Thanks for having us! Do share your love by shopping at Etsy.com .
