Located in the Central Business District, one can find a pumping Aussie Cafe, Sarnies started in 2010 by Ben Lee.
To celebrate their 6 years of serving comfort food and specialty coffee, Sarnies Cafe has came up with a spanking new dinner menu packed with rustic flavours.
Without further delay, let’s dig into the delectable selections made using only fresh, quality ingredients.
Grilled Haloumi, Cherry Tomatoes & Onion Jam $13, each bun is lovingly kneaded and baked fresh. These are flavourful mini buns packed rich with lovely ingredients. The sweet and sourish Onions made this dish a great appetizer.
Spicy Buffalo Wings $14, these wings are crispy and salty to the taste buds, the spiciness of the wings awakens your taste buds, the saltiness in the wings brings out the taste of the chicken and brings us crying for more water.
Pulled Pork, chilli, coriander, lime and red cabbage taco available as per piece or as a trio $8/$22 was an interesting dish as it had mislead all of us thinking that the meat in it was shredded chicken. The taco was quite huge, and makes it good for sharing amongst small eaters.
Southern Indian style hand cut pappardelle with prawns, coconut milk, curry leaves $19.50 reminded us of the dried version of “Mee Hoon Kueh”. Pasta lovers should give this a go, as it is a pasta dish with a modern Asian twist to cater to the local crowd.
Texas style burger with overnight smoked brisket, white slaw, dijon, gherkinds, bbq sauce and hand cut wedges $26.50. We love the wedges and find the overall taste, rich and flavourful.
Churros with salted caramel and chocolate sauce $10 was a sweet ending at our food tasting session. All of us loved these Churros with the salted caramel sauce weather or not we’re having it for the first time.
When i mention “US”, its us… 🙂
